What should we expect this year?

Welcome! Thank you for your interest in being involved in Warring thru Worship 2022! We are so excited about everything God has in store for the weekend and would love to have you join us. This is an event focused on young people, but we do welcome young families as well. There’s a lot of youth who we’ve hosted before that are married, and if that’s you and you are interested in coming back, we would love to have you! And even if you haven’t joined us before, we welcome you!

Many of you probably haven’t been at a Warring thru Worship before and would like to know what to expect; and even for those of you who have, it is going to be a little bit different this year. So, we wanted to give you a little run-down of the weekend events.

First things first, the weekend will start Friday, October 28, at 5:30 p.m. and go till Sunday, October 30, at 5:00 p.m. with the option of staying longer. We will be staying at the beautiful Elkhorn Valley Christian Service Camp in Bergholz, Ohio. You will be assigned to dorm-style rooms, which are connected to the main meeting and eating area.

Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday morning will be filled with times of worship, teaching, and small group time to give you the opportunity to find answers and healing while building strong relationships. Weekend topics include:

Understanding the Father’s heart – God’s desire for a relationship with us

What’s Missing? – If that’s God’s heart for us, why do we struggle so much?

Restoration – Reclaiming the ground the enemy stole from us

Stepping into our calling – Now how do we live out the truths we’ve learned?

Saturday afternoon will be free time in which you can spend however you want. There will be an optional low or high ropes adventure course and an indoor rock wall climbing activity. Both evenings will end around a bonfire – weather permitting.

Sunday afternoon we will leave the campground and head to Salem, where we are helping host a Christ-centered community event as an alternative to halloween activities for community children. This will be our chance to act in the ‘warring thru worship’ by serving God through serving the community. You will have the opportunity to choose between several things including helping with the food, prayer walking around the park, and interacting with the people – especially the kids – in the area. After the event is over, we will help clean and pack up, and Warring thru Worship 2022 will officially be over.

BUT that doesn’t mean you have to leave! 😊 We have things planned for Sunday evening and Monday (October 31) that you would be more than welcome to stay for, including a workday at our ministry center and a worship night. We will need to know if you are interested in staying the extra time so that we can arrange lodging.

Again, thank you so much for your interest in Warring thru Worship 2022. We are so excited to meet you and can’t wait to see what God has in store for us!
